We were delighted and privileged to be asked to support Great Ormond Street Hospital in Celebrating International Nurse Day yesterday, Thursday 12th May.
We took a gang of Bellabot and Kettybot to help everyone at the hospital celebrate their appreciation for all the nurses by delivering special afternoon teas to nurses on the wards.
Over 800 afternoon teas, specially prepared in a heroic effort by the hospital’s catering staff were loaded onto the robots and deliverd to the wards, along with Chief Nurse and senior staff taking time out to show their appreciation personally.
It was humbling to see the smiles light up on nurses and patients faces as the robots cruised into their wards, loaded with boxes of afternoon tea. We’d like to thank the Catering Manager for inviting us to take part in what turned out to be a hugely successful celebration of the work nurses do at the hospital and we’d like to add our thanks and appreciation to all nurses and NHS workers across the UK for the great work they all do, every day of the year.
